Dr. Susanne Schön

Susanne Schön is a co-founder and managing director of the inter 3 Institute for Resource Management, as well as the acting managing director of the Center for Technology and Society of the Technical University Berlin. She has a degree in political science and a PhD in sociology.
Her current focus comprises the following:
- innovations research and development and implementation of products, processes and services for and with projects, organisations and regions
- knowledge integration and science communications
- user context and acceptance analysis
- cooperation research and cooperation management for complex research groups, organisations and regions
Susanne Schön has several years of experience in the development, construction and execution of application-oriented, interdisciplinary research projects. Among others, she currently coordinates the project ”Re-Production Chains in the Water and Energy Infrastructure in Shrinking Regions”, funded by the Federal Ministry for Research and Education and holds responsible for the entire communication of the model project "Demographic Change – Regions Create their Future” of the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development.
Schön's work is constantly engaging the interface between science and management. Her expertise is based on an intimate acquaintance with various methodological approaches and work cultures. She specialises in the translation of scientific knowledge into social and commercial practice by means of innovative services, methods and processes. She combines her scientific expertise with a comprehensive knowledge of methodologies and management experiences in order to achieve the "big hit": broaden perspectives, develop visions, form concrete ideas, bundle resources, manage the implementation cooperatively and efficiently, learn from the process, and optimise. She also offers unconventional classes such as rhythm workshops in the context of team-building and business start-up advising (mainly for women).
She is active in the Netzwerk Vorsorgendes Wirtschaften (Network for Precautionary Principle Economy), and she has been a member of the Energy Advisory Committee in the Berlin Senate and an expert in the Commission of Enquiry for a "Sustainable Berlin" of the Berlin Chamber of Deputies.
