Managing Sustainable Land Use. Involving actors - developing ideas - solving conflicts

Land as a resource is also becoming increasingly scarce in Germany. Conflicts of use in urban and rural areas are inevitable. The authors present methods, strategies and tactics for managing conflicts related to land use concepts. Their concepts combine knowledge from innovation research with practical experience and are aimed at politicians, associations and organisations as well as independent initiatives.

In eight chapters the authors work on all important aspects of the topic, from land management topics and tasks to pioneer projects and the acquisition of participants. The contributions from innovation research offer an understandable and activating approach to the topic of land management; examples and tips help in the development of ideas and the implementation of sustainable land management projects.

The volume was produced as part of the "Innovation Groups for Sustainable Land Management" funding priority of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
