Halbporträt von Konstantin Engelbrecht

Konstantin Engelbrecht

Environment and Social Development Specialist

Combining theory and practice: In order to successfully, sustainably and inclusively shape transformation processes, different levels must be thought together. This requires interdisciplinary scientific understanding, experience with project design and a feeling for the people on the ground - as a geographer and cultural anthropologist, this is exactly the right thing for Konstantin Engelbrecht. His professional focus is on climate change mitigation and adaptation, land use conflicts, environmental perception and migration. His preferred methods are those of qualitative and participatory social research. As a geographer, he likes to incorporate spatial perspectives, of course.

Human-environment relations are both: A great challenge and a source of manifold solutions. This drives me.

Konstantin Engelbrecht studied geography at the universities of Bonn and Bologna and cultural anthropology at the LMU in Munich. After several stays abroad and professional stations in applied research, migration consulting and at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, he reinforces the inter 3 team since 2023.
