In the series MORO Praxis, the BMVI publishes selected, practice-oriented results from the research program Modellvorhaben der Raumordnung (MORO), which is supervised by the BBSR. This study summarizes the results from the research project "Securing a high-quality and sufficient supply of skilled workers".

It presents the key success factors of successful skilled labor initiatives in rural regions and the role that municipalities can and should play in securing the supply of skilled labor. In addition to a detailed description of the possible fields of action of various actors, six successful examples from different regions throughout Germany are presented. The booklet thus provides an overview of current trends as well as suggestions for practitioners.
