Opportunities and problems of migrants in SMEs

Based on an empirical study conducted as part of the project "WelKMU - Highly Qualified Migrants for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises", the inter 3 article outlines the expectations and problems of students and university graduates with a migration background during the transition to the German labor market on the one hand and the fears and obstacles in SMEs with regard to hiring university graduates with a migration background on the other.

The text was published in the anthology "Qualifizierte Migrantinnen in Deutschland. Status quo, success factors, added value". It is aimed at executives and HR managers in companies and organizations, diversity and equal opportunity officers, career-oriented women with and without a migration background, politicians and the general public.
